Glad Lahm Injury Recovery Run Smoothly
Munich – Philipp Lahm’s injury recovery process so far not encountered resistance and running as planned. It is fun captain of Bayern Munich.
Lahm has been sidelined since last November after getting injured fractured right ankle in training. In Lahm also underwent surgery to heal the injury.
Lahm is expected to take approximately three months to recuperate. 31-year-old player may be re-sod in mid-February.
On Tuesday (01/20/2015), Lahm has begun to boost his physical condition by riding a stationary bike at the gym. He also no longer use crutches to walk.
“I worked very well. It’s fun to get rid of the crutches and is in a position to be playing again,” Lahm said on Bayern’s official website.
“Everything went according to plan,” he said.
Bayern vice-captain Bastian Schweinsteiger, has returned to training on the same day after being injured ankle on Monday (19/1). Mario Goetze also have returned after recovering from a groin injury. Meanwhile, Mehdi Benatia still recovering from a back injury.
